Test Details: The Xpert MTB/RIF assay is a new test which modernizes tuberculosis (TB) control by contributing to the rapid diagnosis of Tuberculosis and drug resistance (rifampicin). The test simultaneously detects Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex genome (Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex comprises of M. tuberculosis, M. bovis, M. bovis BCG, Mycobacterium africanum) (Shortly MTBC) in less than 2 hours.
