Test Details: Hepatitis C is a viral infection causing liver inflammation. This test is used to confirm a positive HCV Ab and make the diagnosis of current infection and it also measures a patient's baseline viral load prior to starting HCV therapy. It helps to monitor response to ongoing therapy and to determine whether a patient has achieved a sustained virologic response (SVR).
