Test Details: Giardia antigen test is done to evaluate for diarrhoeal disease caused by giardia lamblia. Patient may have symptoms of watery diarrhoea, abdominal pain and large amount of intestinal gas, appetite loss, nausea and vomiting. The antigen test is more sensitive in detecting Giardia lamblia than the ova and parasite (O&P) examination.
