Histone Antibodies
Test Details: Histone antibodies are present in 20-55% of idiopathic Systemic Lupis Erythematosus (SLE) and 80-95% cases of drug induced SLE. Anti-histone antibodies are autoantibodies that are a subset of anti-nuclear antibody, which specifically targets histone protein subunits. Anti histone antibodies are used as a marker for SLE, sjogren's syndrome, dermatomyositis, rheumatoid arthritis, drug induced lupus.
